Dial-a-Fix :Repairs Critical Windows Errors

Anyone who has been around with Microsoft Windows OS long enough knows that with time the Windows operating system becomes slower and slower, there may be several reasons for this type of behavior, such as installation and removal programs, virus and malware attacks .

The amount of garbage accumulated on the computer keeps growing as we install/uninstall applications. Windows default un-installer does not remove all the files properly,it leaves much unwanted tracks on the system (like registry keys, folders scattered throughout the hard disk, configuration files, etc..).Fortunately we have freewares like ccleaner to fix these registry problems.

But there are errors that often lead to do a backup and install the system from scratch, things like When Windows Update gets broken, Windows is a crippled operating system, unable to fend off the latest security threats, unless you’re willing to spend the time digging through the Windows Knowledge Base looking for patches to install.

Last month when I tried to update Windows, I got the normal page showing “Checking for the latest updates for your computer”, but the green progress indicator kept going. After 30 minutes, I stopped the process. I repeated the steps and would get different errors, but no Windows update files. At first, I thought this might be an issue with Microsoft’s servers being busy until I started getting different 0×8 errors.

when this happened to me, I spend a lot of time Googling through various forums and newsgroups, and after awhile, a common thread appeared: try a program called Dial-a-fix. Lots of users with broken Windows Update functions were swearing by Dial-a-fix.

About Dial-a-fix:

Dial-a-fix is an advanced software repair utility written by DjLizard, where most common Windows issues can actually be fixed with this single tool, instead of creating several different fixes such as registry fixes, batches etc…
Even though this tool is meant for Power users, technicians, it’s safe to use without technical experience. However, guidance is still recommended.

According the program’s description, Dial-a-fix can help fix these types of problems:

  • Windows Update errors
  • Problems with automatic updates
  • Missing registry entries
  • COM/ActiveX object errors
  • SSL/HTTPS problems
  • Reset Windows Firewall
  • Repair Internet Explorer
  • File system corruption

Dial-a-fix works with any 32-bit version of Windows from Windows 98 through Windows XP and Server 2003.

I have used this application and have found it quite beneficial so I would recommend all those who have a problem with the Windows operating system to fix their problem with this application.
