I like to listen to music when I am working on a computer. It gives
you a good tempo to work. For so many years, MusicIndiaOnline.com was
the only source for us to listen our favourite songs and music.
MusicIndiaOnline or Raaga.com are good sites but those are soo web 1.0.
You have to click click click to get to the album that you want to
listen and then once you are there, you need to have either RealPlayer
plugin or Windows Media player.
Here comes Web 2.0. Users can
search for a song, album or singer and once they find the song they
want, they just click to add it to the playlist. That's it.. start
listening to your favourite songs. The website is called Phulki.com.
Phulki is a music meta search engine. I think after a long time, I have
seen a startup with really good value.
Currently Phulki is available in Hindi and Tamil. The site doesn't
require you to register but if you register to the site, you can create
your own playlists or Save Featured playlists. It also gives you random
playlist, weekly top 15 songs, old is gold etc.
Front page
gives you recently played songs, popular searches and featured
playlists. I think if you don't want to carry your own songs/playlist
with you all the time, Phulki.com is a best site to listen to your
favourite songs.
